The homicide took place on Sixth Street at around 11 a.m., the Connecticut Post reported. It is the second shooting to take place in the area in the span of 12 hours, the Connecticut Post reported. A man was reportedly shot in the thigh during a shooting on Newfield Avenue on Wednesday night.
Police quickly responded to the area of Sixth Street on Thursday morning after receiving a report of shots fired, the Connecticut Post reported. They blocked off traffic between Stratford Avenue and Connecticut Avenue, and are investigating the case as a homicide, according to the Connecticut Post.
