FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A New Haven man was charged with several counts on Tuesday after breaking into a State Trooper's cruiser in Milford and stealing his police-issued AR-15 along with two high capacity magazines and a bullet-proof vest in March, according to Connecticut State Police.
Travis Ingram, 20, reportedly broke into the cruiser that was parked in the trooper's driveway on March 8. The gun, ammo and vest were recovered soon after the incident, police said.
Authorities from the State Police, New Haven Police Department, ATF and FBI participated in the investigation. Authorities arrested Ingram and charged him with multiple weapons and theft charges. He is being held on $250,000 bond, police said.
