BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A reported man with a gun inside led to a lockdown of Margaret E. Morton Government Center in Bridgeport on Wednesday morning.

The lockdown was lifted within 40 minutes, according to Connecticut News 12.

The lockdown occurred when a man who had an automatic weapon made threats to enter the building, police told Connecticut News 12.

Mayor Joe Ganim and employees were inside at the time, the report said.
