BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Police arrested four men Monday in Bridgeport on charges of criminal possession of a firearm and having weapons in a vehicle, according to the Bridgeport Police Department.
The arrest stems from an incident Saturday, in which officers received a call around 6 p.m. regarding a man driving a white Ford Fusion with South Carolina plates who allegedly was observed walking over to the trunk of the car, opening it and taking a firearm out, police said. This was followed by the man allegedly tucking the firearm into his waistband and walking over to an adult establishment located near the corner of Knowlton and William streets, according to police.

When officers attempted to pull over the alleged suspect at the intersection of East Washington and Housatonic avenues, the vehicle allegedly began travelling faster, police say.
However, due to the vehicle getting stuck behind another car, the driver was forced to stop, according to police.
Police identified the vehicle's operator as Julius Sanders, 26, and three passengers as Abdirahman Abdi, 27, Bile Nur Warsame, 27, and Justin Sanders, 26.
