Takeia Davis, 38, of Norland Avenue was charged with second-degree unlawful restraint. She posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

The incident occurred at Park Avenue Market. Police responded to an attempted kidnapping after an employee said he brought his 6-year-old stepson, who is autistic, to the store. After Davis entered the store, police said the employee stepped into the kitchen to prepare sandwiches and when he returned, the boy and Davis left the store. Davis told police she was taking the boy for a walk, the report said. Click here for the CTPost.com story.
