BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- The Bridgeport Police Department is facing a possible blemish on its image, according to a report in the Connecticut Post.
The city is getting ready to settle two lawsuits: the first, which cites an off-duty officer’s behavior in a road-rage incident; and the second, which alleges that excessive force was used during an arrest in 2012, the Post said.
According to the Post, the department has been under fire lately because of disciplinary issues, a manpower shortage, and leadership woes.
