BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Police were seeking information on a tractor-trailer truck that may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday after a man was found dead on a road in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Post said.

Bridgeport police released a video (on YouTube and above) showing a red Freightliner truck as it travels through an industrial area near the accident scene at Wordin and Howard avenues.

Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald told the Post that after an "altercation" occurred, the victim got out of the truck and was run over by it.

A 911 caller reported an injured man in the road at about 1:35 p.m., the Post said. Police confirmed the death and investigated throughout the afternoon, the Post said.

Anyone with information on the operator responsible for the fatal hit and run or on the truck is asked to call Lt. Lamaine at 203-581-5206.
