Tynisha Hall, 35 was arrested Thursday and charged with the murder of her uncle, Robert Jones, who died Feb. 8 of blunt force trauma to the head, Captain Brian Fitzgerald said in a statement.

Jones died at his niece's home at 304 Dover St. home, and his body was taken to Bridgeport Hospital, he said. Doctors there called police to investigate a suspicious death, Fitzgerald said.

Detectives "processed a crime scene" at the home on Feb. 11 and "found several indications, and physical evidence that a crime had likely occurred at this location," Fitzgerald said.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that Jones' death was caused by blunt force trauma to the head.

On Thursday,  a was secured warrant for Hall's arrest, Fitzgerald said.

She was charged with murder and tampering with evidence and held on $750,000 bond.

While taking Hall into custody at her home, she resisted arrest and was additionally charged with interfering with police, Fitzgerald said.

Hall is the niece and was the caretaker of Jones, who was disabled, he said.
