BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A driver put an 11-year-old girl in the hospital Tuesday after hitting her and leaving the scene of the accident, according to the Connecticut Post.
Bridgeport police said the girl was hit at about 9:30 p.m. by either one or two cars traveling east on Capitol Avenue after she ran after her pet who had run away from home, said the Connecticut Post.
The girl escaped without any broken bones, but her dog received a broken leg during the incident, said the Connecticut Post. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the event to call (203) 576-7648, added the Connecticut Post.
