BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two men are in stable condition after being shot in separate incidents in Bridgeport, police said.
The first incident took place near the corner of Jane Street and Brooks Street. Police said they received a call of shots fired at 10:23 p.m. Wednesday. A 26 year-old male sustained a single gunshot wound to the upper left leg, police said. He told officers that he was attacked by two black males dressed all in black on Jane Street.
Police secured the area upon arrival. The victim was taken to Bridgeport Hospital in a private vehicle and is in stable condition.
The second shooting took place early Thursday near the corner of East Main Street and Arctic Street. Police received a call of shots fired at 12:26 a.m. When they arrived and secured the area, they found a 43 year-old man who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the left calf, police said.
The man told police that he heard several shots fired when exiting a store on East Main Street. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital in an ambulance and is in stable condition, police said.
Detectives recovered multiple shell casings at the scene of the second shooting and are investigating both incidents.
