BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport Police are seeking a person of interest in last week's fatal shooting of a 26-year-old man on Berkshire Avenue, according to the Connecticut Post.
One person has already been charged in the shooting death of Michael Watkins last Friday night, but police told the Connecticut Post that they are still seeking 27-year-old Willard Hargrove.
Police had arrested Jovanne Brown, 26, on Sunday and charged him with first-degree murder. According to the Connecticut Post, Brown had initially told police that he had been shot while walking down the street. He later told police that a friend of his had tried to steal three pounds of marijuana from Watkins, and that Brown had acted in self defense, the Connecticut Post reported.
Police are asking for the public's help in locating Hargrove, who is believed to be driving a newer model white Hyundai Sonata, the Connecticut Post reported. Anyone with information should contact Bridgeport Police at (203) 576-TIPS.
