BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The man shot to death in Bridgeport on Thursday evening has been identified by police as 33-year-old Noel Esbri, the Connecticut Post said.
It was the ninth homicide of the year in the state's largest city.
Esbri had been shot once when he arrived at the home of a friend at 360 Palisade Ave. at 6:45 p.m., police told the Post. The scene is near Bullard-Havens Technical High School.
A possible suspect was in custody at the scene less than an hour later, the Post said, but no information was released about an arrest.
