BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 24-year-old man was warned by a friend to be careful of a car that was driving near Denver Avenue and Howard Place before he suffered gunshot wounds to his right arm during an apparent drive-by shooting, Bridgeport police said.
The Bridgeport Police Department received a call reporting the shooting at 9:02 p.m. Thursday.
The victim was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital in a personal vehicle, police said. Upon arrival, the victim was moved to the operating room for surgery, police said.
He is expected to survive, police said.
Officers are searching for the shooters, who were in a black or dark blue Buick LaSabre, police said.
