BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two suspects have been arrested on charges in connection with an altercation involving a knife near the corner of Arctic Street and Pembroke Street in Bridgeport on Saturday, Sept. 5, police said.
Reynaldo Andre Hernandez, who was in possession of a knife, said during police questioning that a group of individuals came to his home looking for trouble at about 5 a.m. Hernandez said he followed them to Arctic Street and approached a group of individuals he believed were responsible for damaging his vehicle, police said.
During the confrontation, Hiram Otero punched Hernandez on the right side of his face, after which Hernandez pulled out a knife, police said.
Upon his release from the hospital, Hernandez was charged with assault, breach of peace and reckless endangerment. Bond was set for $2,500.
Otero was also arrested and given a summons on charges of assault and breach of peace, police said.
