BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two Bridgeport men have been arrested and charged with larceny after being found in a stolen car last week, Bridgeport police said.

Police said Dontre Sargent-Dunbar, 19, and Jerial Goss, 19, both of Bridgeport, were arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 11 after police stopped a vehicle that had been reported stolen earlier in the day by two black males at the intersection of Fairfield Ave. and Ellsworth Street.

Following the stop, the driver, later identified as Sargent-Dunbar, was taken out of the vehicle, searched, and detained, police said. Goss told officers that he had purchased the vehicle for $300, according to police reports.

Fitting the description of the vehicle when it was reported stolen, both men were placed under arrest and booked, police reported.

Sargent-Dunbar was charged with third-degree larceny and issued a motor vehicle infraction for not having a drivers license. Bond has been set at $5,000.

Goss was charged with third-degree larceny with bond set at $5,000.
