Bridgeport Man's Cold Weapon Lands Him In Hot Water With Norwalk Cops

NORWALK, Conn. — A Bridgeport man who reported his handgun had been stolen from a backpack in his car when he went to a Norwalk bar on the weekend, later called police to say he found it — in his refrigerator.

But there was still one problem for Edward Reeves, 40, of 45 Bishop Ave., police said. When he took the weapon in to Norwalk Police Headquarters on Sunday to prove he had recovered it, officers told him his magazine with 16 bullets was a no-no, and he was issued a ticket for possession of a large-capacity magazine, police said.
