BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was arrested for the fourth time on Wednesday for what authorities call being a serial abuser in which he would force girlfriends to remove their clothes and then beat and demean them as he video taped the abuse, according to the Connecticut Post.
Carlos Serrano, 32, of Brooks Street, who is being held on $600,000 bond, was charged with assault, coercion, assault on a pregnant person, first-degree unlawful restraint, threatening, tampering with a witness and intimidating a witness, said the Connecticut Post.
His arrest record goes back to 2007 and he has served three years in prison for one of the cases. The latest event occurred on June 14, when police said Serrano forced his 26-year-old girlfriend, seven months pregnant, to get into his car parked on a city street and then forced her to strip as people looked on. Once she was naked, he began taping her with his phone as he punched and yelled at her, added the Connecticut Post.
During the investigation into the event, police discovered another complaint from 2015 in which he did the same thing to another woman. Both women turned over copies of the videos to police, said the Connecticut Post.
