BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A confrontation between a group of men on Saturday, July 16, led to the death of a Bridgeport man after he was hit in the head with a brick while riding in a car on Jane Street, according to the Connecticut Post.
Edy Morales, 41, became the city's fourth homicide victim this year when he was hit with the brick when a group of people began throwing rocks and a brick, smashing the windshield and the passenger window where Morales was sitting, the Connecticut Post reported. Police told the Connecticut Post that the three men in the car did not know the people who attacked them, but that a confrontation of some kind took place right before the incident.
Morales, who is not known by police, is not wanted for any convictions, according to a check of the state Department of Justice website, added the Connecticut Post.
Police ask anyone with information to call 203-581-5242.
