Bridgeport Man Gets 52 1/2 Years For Murder During Drug Deal

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A city man, Elizardo Montanez, was convicted last week of killing a New York drug dealer in 2014 and sentenced to 52 1/2 years in prison, according to the Connecticut Post.

Montanez, who was convicted of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a pistol without a permit, shot Ernesto Reyes-Santos, of Brooklyn, N.Y., in his upper back after coming to Bridgeport for a drug deal with Montanez, said the Connecticut Post.

In addition to the five decades in prison, Montanez also was sentenced to seven and half years of special parole, added the Connecticut Post.
