Bridgeport Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Violent Carjacking

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was arrested in connection with a bloody carjacking that left another man in the hospital in critical condition, according to a report in the Connecticut Post.

Andrew Ferguson, 26, faces attempted murder, robbery, and other charges after, police said he stabbed the 26-year-old victim in the head, face and neck while stealing his car, the Connecticut Post reported.

The injured man was a former high school classmate of Ferguson’s and had given him a ride, the Connecticut Post story said.

Police told the Connecticut Post that the stolen vehicle was found at Ferguson’s home.
