BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man is in custody facing a first-degree sexual assault charge after police said he raped a woman after giving her a ride home from a party they'd both attended, according to ctpost.com
Nuelito Morel-Vargas, 34, of Kossuth Street, is being held on $250,000 bond. Police said he sent a text to his victim while she was in a Bridgeport hospital and being interviewed by police, ctpost reported.
Police said the 25-year-old woman had cuts and bruises when they interviewed her in the hospital. She accepted a ride home from the man from a party at a friend's home on Capitol Avenue, the ctpost said.
