Police began reopening the roads and allowing people back to their apartments just after 3 p.m., the Connecticut Post reported. A bomb squad from the Connecticut State Police had been called in after a device was found in a building on Boston Avenue, according to the Connecticut Post.

Roads near Boston Avenue and Palisades Avenue were closed off and people were told to avoid the area while police investigated the threat, according to the Connecticut Post. Several schools were also placed on lockdown during the incident, according to the Connecticut Post.
