Police accused Fletcher and Catherine Ann Graham, both 60, of neglecting a total of 34 cats that they kept at their Sedgewick Avenue residence, according to Stratford police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
They were arrested Jan. 20, after a months-long investigation into allegations of numerous neglected cats at their home, Eannotti said.
In total, 34 cats were seized from the residence, all of which were in some state of neglect, he said.
Stratford Animal Control Officers completed the investigation and cited the Grahams with 34 counts each of animal cruelty.
They are scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb. 1.
A local rescue organization still has 11 of the animals; the others have been adopted out, or taken in by other shelters, connecticut.news12.com said.
