BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport Police temporarily locked down three schools after they received a 911 call reporting shots fired near Daniels Avenue and Trumbull Avenue on Wednesday, police said.
The lockdown at each school was lifted minutes after officers found no trace of a victim or suspect, police said.
Hallen School, Park City Magnet School, and Wilbur Cross School were temporarily locked down because of their proximity to the area, police said.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident and reviewing camera footage from the area, police said.
Officers are also looking for information on a shooting Tuesday night, police said.
Police responded to a call at 10:25 p.m. of a shooting in the area of Norman Street and Hanover Street, police said.
Upon arrival, officers found a 31-year-old man with two gunshot wounds to the right forearm and the right calf, police said. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and was in stable condition, according to police.
Police are asking anyone with information on either incident to call 203-581-5201.
