28-Year-Old Man Stabbed To Death In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Sunday night.

According to police, officers responded to calls regarding an assault with a firearm on Goldenrod Avenue near the corner of Madison Avenue at 11:05 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a man, 28, with multiple stab wounds to the chest, side, and stomach, police said.

Police say the man was immediately transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance. Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the victim was pronounced dead, and the incident was confirmed as a homicide, according to police.

Police officers and detectives are actively investigating the incident.

According to police, this brings the total number of homicides to 14 in Bridgeport since Jan. 1, 2015.
