The incident occurred when police were called to a Halloween Boulevard home around 11:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of a domestic dispute and upon arrival they found a 27-year-old woman with a cut to her right hand, said Sgt. Robert Shawinsky.

The woman told police her girlfriend, Angelique Hanson, 23, had slashed her in the hand, punched in her the face and took her phone after she found out she had been talking to a man at a Mexican grill earlier in the evening, police said.

During the fight to get her phone back, the victim said Hanson cut her hand with a knife and didn't even realize it had happened until she felt light-headed and saw the blood, Shawinsky said.

Hanson was charged with assault, violating a protective order and disorderly conduct. She is being held on $20,000 court appearance bond.
