14-Year-Old Killed, Second Teen Injured In Bridgeport Shooting

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A 14-year-old boy was killed and a 17-year-old male was injured in a shooting in Bridgeport on Thursday evening, according to NBC Connecticut.

Police responded to 1160 State St. on reports of a shooting and found the two teenage victims, NBC said. The 17-year-old male had been shot in the hand and leg and was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, NBC said. 

Bridgeport Police Capt. A.J. Perez told NBC Connecticut that the 14-year-old was caught in the crossfire between two groups during a shootout outside a neighborhood grocery store. 

Between 10 and 15 shots were fired in the drug-related incident, NBC Connecticut said.
