She and her husband were founding members of Beth El Temple and Cliffside Country Club and were members of Tumblebrook Country Club. She was a member of ORT, Hadassah and volunteered for many years at UConn Medical Center.

She was predeceased by her brother, Mendy Bufferd, and his wife Pat, as well as many brothers- and sisters-in-law.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews; and her three children, Jay and his wife, Sandra, Leni and Sue; grandchildren Jeffrey Weintraub and Dr. Julie Carlson (Aaron); and great-grandson Caleb.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave., Hartford, with Rabbi Rosen and Rabbi Kessler officiating. Interment will follow in Beth El Temple Cemetery, 51 Jackson St., Avon.

Family and friends are invited after the interment to a short service at 596F Mountain Road, West Hartford.
