She was born Sept. 22, 1959, to the late Lois and Wilfred Goodwin of Huntington. She was a 1978 alumnus of Shelton High School. She moved to Bridgeport after her marriage to the late Ronald F. Kowall, where the two raised their daughter, Angel. She was an avid reader and nurtured her dogs and cats throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Angel Kowall; sisters Linda Goodwin and Kathleen Gagnon; four nieces and nephews, Tyler and Kyle Attanasio, and Olivia and Ryan Thainassi; in-laws Janet and Allen Jennings, Seeley and Bernadette Jennings, Kevin and Marjorie Jennings, Marlene and Charles Mack and Tami and Rodney Pocevic; and lifelong friend Pamela Heyse Wellock.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Ave., Bridgeport. Arrangements have been entrusted to Affordable Cremations of Milford.
