BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Rose Socha O'Brien, of Bridgeport, died Sunday, Oct.11 at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
O'Brien worked at General Electric during World War II and formerly at Boston Chain Market. She was a member of the American Legion Sylvan Post 177 Auxiliary.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald A. O'Brien.
O'Brien is survived by her son, Robert P. O'Brien and his wife Shelley of Shelton; her daughters Donna R. Elczyk and her husband Tommy of Trumbull, and Gail M. Kline and her husband William of Bridgeport; brother, Paul Bereza of Stratford; five grandchildren, Robert P. O'Brien Jr., Glenn M. O'Brien, Jenna Rose Elczyk, Erin Kathleen Kline, and William Kline Jr.; great-grandchildren, Kaiah Marie Roskowski, and Robert P. O'Brien III; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Thursday from the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
