She was the daughter of Remigio Medina and Ramona Alvarez and the mother of two sons Israel O. Alvarez and Pedro P. Alvarez.
She is also survived by brothers Israel and Robert Alvarez; and a niece, three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Calling hours are on Tuesday, Jan. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
