Nicolina Cerino, 95, Bridgeport Resident

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Nicolina (Licursi) Cerino, of Bridgeport, wife of the late Samuel Cerino, died Friday, Feb. 26. She was 95.

Born in Santa Crocedi Magliano, Italy, she was a daughter of Maria Casciano Licursi and Martino Licursi. She arrived in Bridgeport in 1936, and began working at Warner Brothers/Rexham where she stayed until her retirement in 1985. She will be remembered as a wife, mother, sister and aunt who enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura; sisters, Elsie Listorti and Fannie D'Onofrio and her husband, Carmine; nieces and nephews Debra Meno and her husband, Gary, and their daughter, Erica, David Licursi and his daughter, Giada, and Richard Licursi and his wife, Heather, and their children Richard and Brittany; and a cousin, Martin Marchese.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Jerry Louis Licursi; and nieces, Laura Licursi and Linda Listorti.

Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday from 3-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Funeral services will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m., directly in St. Patrick's Church, 851 North Ave., Bridgeport, for a mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
