BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – John Henry Taylor, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, died at his home Wednesday, Oct. 14. He was 74.
Born to Thomas W. and Eileen Williams Taylor, he graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and was a mason by trade and a plumber for many years.
He also was a Bridgeport firefighter, serving 20 years before retiring from the department.
Taylor was predeceased by his parents, and is survived by three children, Pamela McCuen and her husband Dean Sr. of Seymour, Thomas Taylor and his wife Priscilla of Fairfield, and Lee Taylor of Shelton; sister Patricia Taylor and her partner Jane Woolley of St. Petersburg, Fla., and four grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
All other services will be private.
