BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- John James DiPallo, 80, of Bridgeport, devoted husband of Patricia (Ryan) DiPallo, died with his loving family by his side Friday, July 10, 2015.
DiPallo was a lifelong Bridgeport resident who was born Dec. 16, 1934, to the late Joseph and Anita (Dervich) DiPallo. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
DiPallo was a dedicated employee for 56 years at Sikorsky Aircraft, where he was known as the great master of repairing main rotor blades in the position of senior composite blade worker.
He was an avid New York Yankees, UConn women's basketbal, and New England Patriots fan.
Survivors include the love of his life, his wife, Patricia (Ryan) DiPallo, daughter, Geraldine (Gerri) Lynn Taylor, granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Taylor and her father, Lee Taylor. Survivors also include his nephews, Donald, Bobby, David, Phillip, Mark and Joseph.
DiPallo was predeceased by his brother, Joseph, his sister, Catherine and niece, Debbie.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church, 380 Long Hill Ave., Shelton, where there will beh a Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford CT 06405, in DiPallo's memory.
