She was born in Bracey, Virginia, to Willie and Elizabeth Hayes Hendricks.
She is survived by her son, Kiyhem Booker Sr. and his wife, Vanessa; four grandchildren, Kiyhem Booker Jr., Tiah Booker, Lariyah Booker and Kyler Booker; brothers, Willie Hendricks and Earl Hendricks; and sisters, Sheila Hendricks, Debra Hendricks, Barbara Hendricks, Rosalind Hendricks and Naomi Rucker (Woody).
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. at Bethel A.M.E Church, 110 Grove St, Bridgeport. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Arrangements are being handled by Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport.
