BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Burial services for Jean M. Hornak, a native of Bridgeport who died June 24, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro, N.Y.
The Rev. Tom Honold of Our Lady of the Rosary Roman Catholic Church, New Hartford, N.Y., will officiate.
Hornak, 92, was a resident of Lincroft, N.J. at the time of her death.
Born Jean Margaret Marcinko, she graduated from Bridgeport High School.
She married Paul M. Hornak in Bridgeport in 1951 and lived most of her life in New Hartford, N.Y.
For a number of years she worked as a secretary at General Electric Company both in Bridgeport and in Utica, N.Y.
She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Church, where she was a member of the Altar-Rosary Society and the choir.
Hornak was predeceased by her husband in 1997 and by four brothers and a sister.
Surviving are her daughter, Elizabeth Dillon and her husband John of Tinton Falls, N.J., her sons Paul of Theresa, N.Y., Joseph and his wife Elizabeth of Henrietta, N.Y., Michael of Laurys Station, Pa., Lawrence and his wife Patricia of Athens, Ga., 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was offered June 27 at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, Lincroft.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care, CW-6, 300-Second Ave., Long Branch, NJ 07740.
