BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Herman Belinski, of St. Petersburg, Fla., and formerly of Bridgeport, died Monday, Jan. 25. He was 85.
He was born to George and Mary (nee Strempel) Belinski. He served in the Air Force for two years and went on to teach at Central High in Bridgeport.
Belinski worked as a business manager for private schools across the country.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Natalie; two brothers, Robert and John; and a sister, Irene Stevens.
Belinski is survived by his son John; his daughter, Donna Merlo and her partner Bill Zdanowicz; his son Richard and his wife Laurie; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and longtime friend and caretaker Daniel Evans.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 30, at 9 a.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., in Bridgeport, followed by another service at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport.
Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Stratford.
