BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport resident Henry J. Sabatini -- also known as Rico or Hank -- died on Wednesday, March 16. He was 101.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, Sabatini worked for the former Fermont Manufacturing for many years, before he retired. He loved to sing and dance, take care of his garden, and work on puzzle books.
Sabatini is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Montaldi Sabatini; sister Babe Tarini of Orange; several nieces and nephews; and his canine companion Noel.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sabatini and Carmella Sabatini Proiotti, and his siblings Cal Sabatini, Eben Sabatini, Tessie Primavera and Eva Carducci.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 18, at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., in Trumbull. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, in Bridgeport, for a mass. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, in Stratford.
