Greenwich Academy Counselor Ann Cahill Dies At 53

Ann Cahill, a 22-year resident of Katonah, graduate of Horace Greeley Greeley High School and Yonkers native, died on Saturday, Dec. 9. She was 53.

She was employed by Greenwich Academy as a college counselor.

Ann was a graduate of Horace Greeley High School, Boston College and Fordham University Law School. Ann will be remembered for her quick wit, keen mind and genuine heart. 

She was a loyal friend, devoted daughter and sister, beloved wife and an extraordinarily dedicated mother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her daughters. Ann's quiet strength and determination was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know her.

Ann is survived by her husband, Tom, her daughters, Colleen, Claire and Christine, parents Dan and Jackie Doran of Chappaqua, brothers John Doran of Chappaqua and Dan Doran and his wife, Lorraine of Wilton, CT.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to  9 p.m. at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road in Katonah. 

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. at St Joseph's RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Road in Somers.

Ann's family has requested, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at mariafarerichildrens.org.
