BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Elizabeth Williams, 75, of Bridgeport, died Friday, Oct. 2.
Born in Alcolu, S.C., she had been a Bridgeport resident for more than 50 years.
Her spiritual needs were met as a disciple of Mt. Nebo Full Gospel Baptist Church, where she served as mother of the church, former deaconess, chairperson of the senior and Mass choir, Sunday school teacher and missionary.
She leaves behind her husband, Amos L. Williams of Bridgeport; two sons, Minister Roosevelt Franklin of Milford and Derek Franklin of Bridgeport; two daughters, Johanna Franklin-Taylor of Bridgeport and Bertha Franklin of Waterbury; two sisters, Malvenia Wells and Hattie Gantt of S.C.; 16 grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Nebo Full Gospel Baptist Church, 360 Colorado Ave., with Overseer Anthony Lee officiating. Friends are invited to the viewing from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton.
