BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Dexter M. Holder, of Bridgeport, died Saturday, Jan. 9. He was 47.
He was born on Oct. 26, 1968, in Stamford, to John and Betty Holder.
He graduated from Jonathan Law High School and later completed two years of hotel management at the University of New Haven. After graduating, he worked in the food industry as a chef as well as in the medical field as a certified medical assistant.
In his spare time, he enjoyed singing, watching Star Wars movies, reading and traveling.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his brother, Dale Holder; daughter, Jessica Bisonette Holder; stepdaughter Fanny Smith; step-granddaughter Malaysia Smith; and his former wife, Renee Smith Holder.
A prayer service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private.
