BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Carl Stanley Roland Carlberg, 93, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Eleanor Lindell Carlberg, died Wednesday Aug. 19 at the West Haven Veterans Hospital.
Mr. Carlberg was born in Plainville, and was a Bridgeport resident most of his life. He was a retired Tool and Dye Maker. He was a life member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, a member of the Senior Choir, Lutheran Men's Bowling League, NorthStar Singers and the Scandinavian Club.
He is survived by his children; Roland J. Carlberg and his wife Lucy, of Milford, Barbara Howard, of Bethany and Janice Luiciani and her husband James, of Fairfield. One brother Roy Carlberg, of Norwalk. Grandchildren; Christopher Luiciani and his wife Laura and Charlie Luiciani, Scott Luiciani, Betsy Sudac and Christopher Sudac and his wife Melissa and Desi Sudac, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend his Funeral on Friday at noon at the Salem Lutheran Church, 3160 Park Ave, Bridgeport. Burial will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery in Bridgeport with full Military Honors. Friends may call at the Church on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Donations may be made to the Veterans Hospital, 960 Campbell Ave, West Haven, CT 06516.
