Arthur 'Richard' Kennedy, 69, Of Bridgeport, Retired From Rolling Mills

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Arthur “Richard” Kennedy, 69, of Bridgeport, died Saturday, March 7, after a brief illness.

A native of Mobile, Ala., he lived and worked in Bridgeport for 50 years.

Kennedy was a machine operator for Bridgeport Rolling Mills until his retirement.

Survivors include three daughters, Aretha Lynn Kennedy and April Kennedy Little of Waterbury, and Arneca Kennedy Toomer of North Carolina; two sons, Arthur Kennedy and Aric Vernon Kennedy, both of Waterbury; his longtime companion, Barbara Jubenville, and her two daughters, Brenda Voytershark of Milford and Sandra Jubenville of Newtown; six brothers, of Robert (Inell) Kennedy of Bridgeport, Lebaron Kennedy of Rochester, N.Y., Daniel Kennedy, Raymond (April) Tucker, Edward Dwayne Tucker, and Patrick Tucker, all of Buffalo, N.Y.; one sister, Bettie (Herschel) Richardson of Lancaster, N.Y.; a very special aunt, Rosetta (Robert) Hill of Buffalo, N.Y.; a special cousin, Roy Kennedy of Bridgeport; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

His mother, Laura Kennedy Tucker; his grandmother, Maggie Dell Kennedy; one sister, Cynthia Tucker; and his longtime companion’s son, Richard Jubenville, are deceased.

Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Baker-Isaac Funeral Services, 985 Stratford Ave., Bridgeport.
