Thousands Still Without Power Across Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — More than 24 hours after powerful thunderstorms blew across Fairfield County, thousands of residents are still without power on Friday morning.

The storms knocked down trees and power lines across the entire state.

As of 8:30 a.m. Friday, Eversource and United Illuminating were reporting the following outages, with a projected repair time:

  • Bethel: 305 customers, repaired by 11:30 p.m. Friday
  • Danbury: 236 customers, repaired by 6 p.m. Friday
  • Darien: 82 customers, repaired by 8 p.m. Friday
  • Fairfield: 406 customers, UI crews were en route
  • Greenwich: 1,050 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • Monroe: 82 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • New Canaan: 61 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • New Fairfield: 108 customers, repaired by 8 p.m. Friday
  • Newtown: 520 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • Norwalk: 170 customers, repaired by 11:30 p.m. Friday
  • Redding: 237 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • Ridgefield: 588 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • Sherman: 128 customers, repaired by 11 p.m. Friday
  • Stamford: 193 customers, repaired by midnight Friday
  • Weston: 3 customers, no repair estimate
  • Wilton: 37 customers, repaired by 6 p.m. Friday
