FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — A red flag warning for brush fires will go into effect Tuesday afternoon due to dry weather conditions across Fairfield County.
The warning will be in effect from noon to 8 p.m. April 19, according to the National Weather Service .
A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions are expected or occurring.
Strong winds, low humidity and dry fuels significantly elevate the chance of fire.
- Tuesday will be cloudy and dry, with winds gusting up to 25 mph, a high of 64 degrees. The sun will gradually appear as the morning unfolds.
- Wednesday is dry again and full of sun, high of 64 degrees. Winds will blow from the NW at 10-15 mph.
