Tynisha Hall, a 35-year-old woman charged with murdering her disabled uncle in Bridgeport, bashed him in the back of his head in the bathroom and propped up his dead body with a cigarette in his hand, police said.

Guishun Li of Queens, N.Y., blurted out: “We in trouble” to her customer — who was an undercover cop — as other police officers burst into her spa on a prostitution bust in Norwalk and arrested her.

As Forbes rolled out its 2017 list of richest people in the world — with Bill Gates at the top again — the number of heralded Connecticut residents rose to 17. The richest man in Connecticut is still Greenwich resident Ray Dalio, worth of $16.8 billion. Of the Fairfield County billionaires, 12 live in Greenwich and one each in Danbury, Darien and Southport.

The Stratford Fire Department is hosting a memorial hockey game April 1 at the Sports Center of Connecticut in Shelton to help the family of their brother Jason "Carf" Carrafiello, who died last year of complications of surgery at age 38.

Margaret Karbovanec of Fairfield, a retired Bunnell High School guidance counselor, is appealing to the public to help her find a live kidney donor. Her two kidneys are failing due to an inherited condition known as polycystic kidney disease.

Gregory Francilme, 18, died after he was shot in the head outside a Bridgeport apartment complex last weekend, police said.

The owner of the Wine Bar in Westport — Sammy Alanz, 41, of Trumbull — was arrested after he pushed a man to the ground and threatened to kill him during a dispute over snow removal, police said.
