Pauline Mize, Manager Of Sikorsky Airport, Dies Of Cancer

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Pauline A. Mize, airport manager for Bridgeport’s Sikorsky Memorial Airport died on the evening of Wednesday, June 24, after a long battle with cancer.

“Sikorsky Memorial Airport is a wonderful place with lots of caring people, working hard to keep aviation enthusiasts safe every single day. The head of our airport, Pauline Mize, unfortunately passed away last night after a hard fought battle with cancer," Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said in a statement.

"Her friends, family, and colleagues are all grieving her loss. She was an inspirational leader, and she did a terrific job of helping to improve Sikorsky Memorial Airport.

“Our hearts go out to her and to Fred Hall, her partner, and all of her friends and family. It’s just a terrible loss for the city and for Long Island.”
