BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Overnight bridge work along Route 8 in Bridgeport will be starting on Monday night.
These repairs are scheduled to last about three weeks and will occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
Motorists traveling south on Routes 8 and 25 can expect lane closures between the Route 8/25 merge and Exit 3 for Main Street.
Motorists traveling north on the Route 8/25 connector can expect lane closures between Exit 2 for Lafayette Square and Exit 5 for Boston Avenue.
Traffic control personnel and signs will be used to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
