Norwalk Man Pleads Not Guilty To Killing Cab Driver From Bridgeport

NORWALK, Conn. – The man charged with stabbing a taxi driver to death in Norwalk on Dec. 8 pleaded not guilty to murder during a hearing Thursday at state Superior Court in Stamford, Connecticut Post reports.

Ramiro Arcos Garcia, 32, of Elizabeth, N.J., was arrested on Dec.12 and charged with murder in the death of Jackson Pierre-Louis, 51, a Bridgeport man who worked as a taxi driver for Norwalk Yellow Cab Inc.

According to previous Daily Voice reports, Acros-Garcia knew Pierre-Louis and the stabbing resulted from a dispute the two men had in the front seat of Pierre-Louis’s cab. Police said Acros-Garcia stabbed Pierre-Louis twice in the torso, once in the arm and once in the neck. The wounded driver called 911 after crashing into a parked car on Grove Street.

Police said Acros-Garcia gave a full confession of the stabbing after his arrest.

Investigators also learned that Acros-Garcia is wanted by the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office in West Virginia on charges of kidnapping, felonious assault and car jacking. 

Pierre-Louis, who was married and had four children, had been an employee of Norwalk Yellow Cab for about six months he was killed.
