The package had no return address and suspicious labeling when it arrived on Tuesday morning, forcing an evacuation of the building that lasted around 50 minutes, the Connecticut Post reported. City employees and citizens waited outside while Bridgeport Police and the state police bomb squad investigated the package, according to the Connecticut Post.

It was determined that the package contained only papers, a city spokesperson told the Connecticut Post. Officials then gave the all-clear and people were allowed to re-enter the building, the Connecticut Post reported.
